Ukraine business register: company search and EDR extracts
Prepare Ukrainian company details, use official EDR services and distinguish a search from ordering an extract.
Official services open in a new tab. Guidance reviewed: 6 October 2026. Service interfaces and access may change.
Prepare the Ukrainian entity's details
For a Ukrainian legal entity, start with its full Ukrainian name and EDRPOU code from its documents. A brand, an English translation and the contracting entity's name can differ. If you only have a website or shop name, ask the counterparty for clarification rather than selecting the first similar result.
For an individual entrepreneur, or FOP, the subject is the entrepreneur rather than a company with shares. Do not publish personal identifiers in an open message or send private electronic signature keys through our form. Begin by explaining whom you need to identify and why.
Use the official EDR portal
- Open the Ministry of Justice EDR portal using the button above. The service opens separately from this guide.
- Choose the available information search and the relevant subject type: legal entity or individual entrepreneur.
- Use the field provided for a name or identifier. Match its label to the kind of number you hold.
- Follow the access requirements displayed by the official service. Do not enter sign-in details on third-party pages pretending to be the register.
- Compare identifying details in the result with the counterparty's documents. Decide separately whether you need an official document for subsequent use.
Available sections, displayed information and identification requirements depend on the portal's current operating arrangements. A technical interruption or access restriction is not proof that an entry is absent. Return to the official source later or establish another appropriate way to obtain the information.
Decide whether you need an extract
Diia describes a separate extract service for individual entrepreneurs after sign-in and directs legal entities to the EDR portal. Its button should therefore not be treated as a universal search for any third-party company. Read the service's eligibility and steps for your situation.
Ask the document's recipient what information and format it needs. A bank or foreign authority may require something different from an informal identity comparison. Agree translation or other formalities before placing an order. Current charges and available delivery methods belong to the official service; this guide does not promise free access to every document.
Avoid conclusions that the search cannot support
Match the legal entity named in the contract rather than a familiar-looking name. A missing result may call for better input data. Conversely, a record does not guarantee solvency, the authority of the person contacting you or performance of a transaction. Those questions require separate consideration.
Ask for help with Ukrainian records
Provide the name, company code if known, and purpose: locating an entry, choosing a document or discussing how to obtain it. Explain the destination country and organisation, and any submission deadline. If the portal produced an error, describe it without personal data. The availability and conditions of assistance are clarified after reviewing your enquiry.
